Sunday Brunch at the Ecology Center

Ecology Center Brunch 8 “Community Table: Sunday Brunch”  is a true Farm to Table Experience

It seems that the term “Farm to Table” has become to the new cool catch phrase, although there are only a very small handful of restaurants that grow  their own food. On October 13th, The Ecology Center will be hosting their last “Community Table: Sunday Brunch” which will provide guests a true farm to table meal made with ingredients from South Coast farms. Literally you will be eating your brunch, just feet from where the ingredients were farmed and harvested.

Sunday Brunch at the Ecology Center

The Sunday Brunch at the Ecology Center  takes place under the fruit trees on the patio, with a backdrop of South Coast Farms and the old farm house. This brunch is essentially a pop-up restaurant experienced at the Ecology Center. The brunch is made with local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients from South Coast Farms and some local producers. Brunch will be prepared by Erika Tucker, winner of the Green Feast Eco-App off.  To learn more about this Chef visit her website http://www.cheferikatucker.com.

  1. Hoe often do they hold these. Might be able to visit when I go to CA.

  2. How fun would this “farm to table Sunday brunch” be? The foods not only look appealing I’ll bet they taste delicious. Enjoy a plate for me Tom.

  5. Oh I just love that. We have a farm like that and my son went to camp there. Each day they cooked from the farm produce and then on the last day, they cooked for us parents. It was delicious.

  6. That’s awesome! I would love to do something like that. They have something similar here in Lancaster, PA at a few restaurants, but I’m not certain if it’s as intentional in its marketing.

  7. I really love this concept.. Sounds wonderful! I wish they did that somewhere here in Arizona..

  8. I love getting fresh produce from our farmers market. You can often get fresh tortillas, bread, salsa and other goodies too. We have a restaurant in Tucson called Harvest that takes the fresh local produce idea for their menu and it changes with what is available.

  9. Oh My Goodness! I love the colors, setting, the pics are incredible! I bet the food is delicious too!

  10. Sounds wonderful! Handmade granola bars?! YUMMY!
